Valuation 365 / Bewertung 365 Power BI Template
This document explains how to install the Power BI App "Valuation 365 / Bewertung 365 PowerBI Template" and provides information about the data contained within it. The app is designed for controllers who want to check valuations using the "Bewertung 365" app or for the C-level, who need a graphical overview.
The app uses the following tables:
Valuation plan entries
Valuation entries
These have been aggregated into a table called "valuationEntriesAll".
The app offers different pages that can be used:
Overview, Valuation History, Valuation Comparison, Item, Item Category,
Inventory Posting Group, Location, Matrix by parameter, Valuation by
parameter, Analysis tree by parameter, What If Analysis, Dimension 1,
Dimension 2, Dimension 3, Dimension 4, Dimension 5, Dimension 6,
Dimension 7, Dimension 8.
There are detail pages for all dimensions as well as for valuation rule, item, item category, and inventory posting group.

Installation
Connect

First you have to connect your data to the template. Fort hat click on „Connect your Data“

Now a window should open where you have to set the parameters needed to
connect to Business Central that are:
ENVIRONMENT: The name of the environment.
COMPANY: The name of the entity used when the company was created.

The last step is to log in with your microsoft account. Now your data will be loaded into the template.
General Structure and Filter Functions
On all pages except "What If Analysis", only entries with the marker "valid" are displayed.
On every page, filters can be applied for the following fields:
Item category code, Item number, Item tracking code, Posting date,
Business posting group, Inventory posting group, Product posting group,
Location code, Valuation rule, and Valuation run.
To simplify filtering for Posting Date and Valuation Run, these are present on every page on the left-hand side.

The overview page provides a quick summary of the total valuation amount, as well as the different valuation rules.
Valuation History

The valuation history page allows users to quickly track the history of valuations. Information includes Inventory value (Calculated), Inventory value (Revalued), and Valuation amount. In the table view, these are further broken down by item category or item number.

The analysis tree by parameters page displays the valuation according to freely chosen parameters as an analysis tree. You can always only add the last parameter you selected to the analysistree.
What if analysis

The "What If Analysis" page allows scenarios to be simulated for the performed valuation. Its the only page which doesnt use the marker validValue = yes.
